Our Produce and Flowers

Cooke Family Farms grows fresh healthy produce for your family from late April thru October each year.  We also now have added beautiful cut flowers for your enjoyment.  There are several ways that you can purchase from us.  The Farm Stand located on the farm is open to the public several days a week.  We would love for you to come by and see us.  Also, we will be attending the Rex Hospital Farmers Market this year, you can purchase a CSA share for your family and you can find our produce at the Wendell General Store.

FARM STAND

 

Our farm stand will be open on Friday evenings from 4:00 until 7:00.

You can visit the farm at other times by giving us a call to schedule a pickup  because we are likely to be in the fields harvesting.  Hope to see you on the farm!

Our produce will also be available at the Wendell General Store located at 28 N. Main St, Wendell, NC.

You will be able to purchase in season produce during the year.

WEEKLY FOOD BOX

We are proud to offer a CSA share this year. Here are the basics: the farmer offers a certain number of "shares" to the public. Interested consumers purchase a share and in return receive a box of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. This arrangement creates several rewards for both the farmer and the consumer. In brief:

 

Advantages for farmers:
​

  • Get to spend time marketing the food early in the year, before their 16 hour days in the field begin

  • Receive payment early in the season, which helps with the farm's cash flow

  • Have an opportunity to get to know the people who eat the food they grow

 

Advantages for consumers:
​

  • Eat ultra-fresh food, with all the flavor and vitamin benefits

  • Get exposed to new vegetables and new ways of cooking

  • Usually get to visit the farm at least once a season

  • Find that kids typically favor food from "their" farm - even veggies they've never been known to eat

  • Develop a relationship with the farmer who grows their food and learn more about how food is grown

CUT FLOWERS

Cooke Family Farms is growing cut flowers for sale this year.  They will be available by the stem, bunch or bouquet.

​

This will be our third season at growing flowers.  We hope you will enjoy them as much as our produce.
